"Life is a matter of perspective."

“Life is a matter of perspective; you are what you think. If you think that you are a loser, you will end up like one. If you think you can achieve all things, with Christ, then surely you can. Our being poor served as my inspiration to win my battles in life. It inspired me to wish for a better life and to do my very best to have it.” The philosophy in life of Merly Domingo. She was born on December 8, 1971in Bukidnon, Cagayan. As a child, she witnessed how her parents struggled in providing the needs of their family because of poverty. Thus, she promised to herself that when she grew up, she will provide the needs of her parents and buy them want they want.

At the age of 25 she was inspired by her brother, Wilson, to engage in business. She used her backpay from her previous job as a capital to start her business of selling garments. It was also through the assistance of Wilson that she was able to buy a sewer machine and t-shirt printer. She then started her t-shirt printing business. Slowly her business starts to get known to the public. Merly gained many clients and orders. But she struggled to organize her cash flow knowing the she doesn’t have a background in accounting. She was thankful that TSKI came into her life in 2016 and gave her trainings aside from the additional capital that made her business grow, she acquired essential knowledge and ideas that she needed to organize the flow of her business. She joined TSKI as an OKEY Loan Client and granted with PhP 50, 000. 00 for her first cycle loan. That amount boost her business and even gave her the opportunity to gain more avid customers. Merly is a very cooperative and responsible client, so TSKI approved her loans of PhP 65, 000. 00 during her second cycle and PhP 150, 000. 00 during her third cycle. Her business keeps on doing well. Recently, her loan amounting to PhP 200, 000. 00 for her fifth cycle was approved. She is very thankful to organization for helping her achieve her vision for her business.

With the achievements that she is attaining right now, Merly remained faithful to her promise of helping her family and fellow in the community. She now plans to branch-out in Bukidnon so that she could employ some of her relatives who needed a job to support their families.

Despite of the struggles that she had experienced in life, Merly did not stop from achieving her goals for the benefit of her family. Her life story is one of the beautiful stories of “From rags to riches”. Her secret? “Never quit! Allow poverty to serve as your inspiration to achieve your goals in life. Allow God to work with you so that your business will be blessed and you will become a blessing to others.”
