– Ma’am Marissa Gan
At the core of every dedicated person is a story of perseverance, resilience, and steadfast commitment. For Ma’am Marissa Gan, TSKI’s Accounting Supervisor, her 24-year journey has been marked by challenges, long hours, and numerous sacrifices.
One of the formidable challenges she faced was navigating assignments in hazardous areas such as Samar and Mindanao. Fear and uncertainty could have easily dictated her path, but a deep sense of duty, love for family, and an unbreakable faith carried her forward.
"The most challenging part of my journey in TSKI was my area of assignments before but because of my passion for doing my work being inspired by my family and being guided by God through prayers, I can overcome all of those."
According to Ms. Marissa, commitment is evident in the countless overtime she spent with work, and the willingness to go beyond what is expected. "The sleepless preparations for strategic planning reports, the weekends spent in the office, and the special holidays sacrificed to meet deadlines were moments of exhaustion, but fulfilling too. Knowing that my work serves others, I thank God for these experiences."
Beyond professional dedication, Ma’am Marissa’s journey has been deeply enriched by community service and personal growth. TSKI has provided opportunities not only to work but also to serve. From teaching clients to volunteering in clean-up drives and tree-planting activities, the organization has created a balance that fuels passion. "What I love the most about TSKI is that it balances my life. It is the reason why my passion is so alive."
"Let them feel that they are our family. Just be flexible and open to learning more about life. TSKI is capable enough to mold and guide its people—mentally, financially, physically, and spiritually. It can help you become a better person to your family, community, and church, especially the best person God wants you to be."
