“Don’t lose hope. Just keep going. Work for your success everyday.” It is the motto of Nila Durana, a client of TSKI-Maayon Branch availing the OKEY Loan program. She is now 8 years as a member. Nila shared that before she joined TSKI, her family was struggling financially. Her husband, Nido Durana, has no fixed income as a simple laborer. They have three kids and all of them are studying. Thus, she decided to have a sari-sari store business. She started it with meager capital. But as time goes by, Nila finds it hard to maintain because her capital became unstable due to unexpected expenses in the family. There were even times when she used her capital to buy the needs of her children in school and their allowances as well. Luckily, she was able to join TSKI. Nila considered it as a big blessing for her business and to their family. Through her loans, she was able to improve her business which became a big help for the studies of her children. Nila is very happy with her membership in TSKI because she gained new friends and got the chance to have more ideas of probable business through Skills Training Summits offered by the organization. She plans to use her upcoming loans as additional capital to improve her business more so that it could give better service to its customers.
